Why "Cephei"?

The company name

VV Cephei is a binary star system in the constellation Cepheus (genitive: Cephei) and counts among the largest known stars in the Milky Way. Its supergiant reaches roughly 1,600 to 1,900 times the diameter of the Sun. The constellation is also home to the Cepheids, pulsating giant stars whose periodic brightness helps astronomy measure distances in space with precision. In Greek mythology, Cepheus was the king of Ethiopia, husband of Cassiopeia, and father of Princess Andromeda. The name stands for foresight and reliability - an inspiration we carry into our projects.
